Legion: Warning Spoiler

This movie was absolutely hilarious! The acting was hysterical, and the punchlines seemed if they were straight from a comic book. In all honesty, I feel really bad for the writers of this film. How could such an excellent story line go so bad? This movie had all the goods, battle of good versus evil, direct descendants from god, an apocalyptic scenario and angels with swords. What else could you ask for?

Dennis Quaid, what were you thinking when you watched the premier? I would have never let this move be released if I was you.

From the opening narration I knew this move was going to be "Bullshit." The voice over of the Charlie (Adrianne Palicki)sums up that god was tired of all mankind's bullshit, so he decided to exterminate them. However, the only chance of saving man-kind was her child (one month away from being born). The director (Scott Stewart) provides no background to this part of the story whatsoever. They show zero scenes of what you think would be a world in chaos and the battle for the survival of the human species takes place at a truck stop diner somewhere in the Arizona Desert.

Michael (Paul Bettany) plays a angel who betrays gods order to destroy mankind. Instead he decides to defend mankind because he has faith in guys like Jeep Hanson (Lucas Black), because no matter how many times Charlie disses him he still cares for her. I think this guy single handedly ruined the movie for me. Was he slow? Was he a hick? Why was he the only one with an accent? I don't know. All I know is that the mission to protect Charlies new born was left in his hands.

Kyle Williams (Tyrese Gibson) pulls up to a dinner looking for a phone. He ends up getting stuck there with all the other characters in the movie. Together they encounter a series of attacks by god's army (old lady who climbs on the ceiling, hundreds of head-shaking and teeth-morphing ordinary people, a creepy ice cream truck driver, chucky-looking little boy, and last, but not least, Micheal's nemesis, Gabriel, played by Kevin Durant). Shockingly they all die off one by one until the only characters left are Jeep Charlie and her child.

The only cool scene was the fight between Gabriel and Michael. Gabriel was sent down by god to complete Micheal's orders. Gabriel comes in the door with this medieval spiked baton that just so happens to have a spinning motor on it, and beats everyone's ass. Michael tries to defeat him, but without his flesh-cutting angel wings he stands no chance (he cut them off in the beginning. I have no idea why). Gabriel chokes out Micheal and then he evaporates into light. Cut scenes to Bob (Dennis Quaid) is lying near his oven as he sparks a zippo near a loose gas valve. Gabriel is blown out of building and ends up landing on the car that jeep, charlie her son and Audrey,(Willa Holland, the only character worthy of any real acting career after this film)used to escape. Jeep flips the car. He, Charlie and the child walk away in remarkable condition. He and Charlie head to the top of a nearby mountain. Magically, just as Gabriel is about to kill jeep, Michael appears with a fresh set of wings and spares Gabriel his life.

Ultimately, God changed his mind because these few people left on earth showed enough compassion for one another to convince him not to terminate the human race. Gabriel leaves earth and Jeep is left with a fresh sleeve of tattoos that show him the way to the future. Jeep and Charlie and their new born find a town over a mountain and hope to start a new life there. Then the director, like a 3rd grade essay writer who doesn't know how to write their conclusion, finishes the movie with the same "bullshit" quote from beginning.

The Book Of Eli: Warning Spoiler!

In a world where the sun dried out land and mass havoc reigned across civilizations, one man, Eli, treks across the hijacker-laden terrain in order to restore faith in those that survived the apocalypse. As you know, Eli is played by Denzel Washington and Denzel Washington plays one bad-ass bible protector. Within in the first few minutes of the movie you really get to see just how skilled Eli is. He has a heightened senses and advanced fighting abilitie, so not only can he detect trouble but he can resolve it. He man handles 7 guys all carrying chainsaws and axes with just his massive machete-looking knife that he routinely sharpens.

Eli encounters several dangerous remote towns on his trek out west, and one of them nearly takes his life.What you need to know is that in some year there was a war. After that war a whole was burnt into the sky and the sun dried up the earth. In that process, man felt that the bible was the cause of the war so they sought out every bible in the world and burned it. Eli carries the only bible left. After another incident where Eli killed fifteen or so people in bar brawl, He draws the attention of the town leader and bible seeker, Carnegie (Gary Oldman). Carnegie knows the power of the bible and he refers to it as a weapon in order to gain control of people. Carnegie finds out Eli has the bible in his possession and he hunts him down. Solara (Mila Kunis) is one of Carnegie's servants and she tags along with Eli in order to escape the brutality of Carnegie and his motley crew.

The two find themselves under the intense sun walking miles on and isolated desert road. Fortunately they find a house with a sweet old couple in the middle of no where. This is where Carnegie's finds Eli and Solara. After and semi automatic, gun slinging, RPG firing, and grenade launching gun scene, the older couple is killed and Eli offers up the bible in order to save Solara, who he has grown a loving friendship with. Carnegie shoots Eli in the stomach to show that he is only a man and leaves him there to die.

Now your wondering what happened? Its not over yet. He can't die? He doesn't. Solara forces her captures to flip the car and she drives back to rescue him. But Carnegie still has the book! He has the bible! How is Eli going to deliver this bible to the destination he envisioned in his head years ago?
Well when they finally arrive to the pacific, in the city of San Fransisco, they discover that civilization has been preserved on the island/prison of Alcatraz. He tells the guards he has a King James Bible in his possession so they let him in. but he doesn't, right? wrong Here is the catch. They switch scenes and Carnegie opens the bible to see that it is a bible written in braille. Cut scenes back and Eli is reciting the bible that he memorized to a historian as he writes it down.

Now go back and look at all the times Eli used his heightened senses to avert Danger. Was Eli blind the whole time? or was he just a well educated and skilled warrior? chances are he was blind and the director ( Albert Hughes) did a great job at not giving that away the whole movie. There are several inferences which you can pick upon it if you watch it again.

Pink Gloves Dance

The Pink gloves dance for breast cancer awareness is the cutest video I've ever seen and I don't even say "cute". A whole bunch of medical workers got together and choreographed this video. I don't have much information for you here but all you need to know is in the video. What I do know is the old man dancing with the mop danced straight from his heart. Its similar to that video that a bunch of college students made in Quebec. It took like 200 students to make this video and from what I understand that did it in one take!

This movie will make a grown man sleep with the lights on. With all the new ghost hunter shows out there I am surprised no one thought of making a film like this earlier. Please don't read any further if you plan to see the movie

Katie is haunted by a demon her whole life, but she learns to live with it. Since she moved in with her new boyfriend the noises she hears at night begin to occur more frequently. The boyfriend, Mika, thinks that he can solve the paranormal activity by himself. He buys a camera and some sound equipment and documents all the events they experience. The noises get louder and eventually objects begin to move in their bed room. There is a slow build throughout the movie and each time there is a bed room scene things get scarier and scarier.

Eventually they seek help form a psychic. They psychic warns Mika not to interfere with the demon. Mika disregarded what the physic said and repeatedly challenged the demon. He even goes as far as buying a Ouija board to contact the evil spirit. Things only get worse in the house and tensions build between the couple.

Several events occur at night that get progressively scarier. First its noise, then Katie sleep walks , then a louder noise, then shadows and doors slamming and then a mysterious picture appears in their addict from Katie's childhood. (There is a small plot about a fire in her childhood that isn't essential to the summary but it does play a small part in the movie). By far scariest moment (until the ending) comes when Katie is pulled off her bed and dragged by her feet into another room.

At this point there is no turning back what is going to happen. Mika has aggravated the demon enough. The psychic returns to the house and immediately leaves because he said his presence only makes things worse.(This may have happened before she was dragged down the hallway.)

Needless to say, the last night all hell breaks loose. Katie is clearly possessed and recommends staying in the house. In the middle of the night,Katie sleep walks again and stands eerily over her boyfriend. Two hours pass while she hovers above him until she decides to walk downstairs. After a few seconds she releases a horrifying scream for Mika. Mika jumps to her aide and then silence takes over the theater. All you hear is footsteps returning up the stairs and suddenly Mika's body is lunged at the camera. Standing there covered in blood is the demon in Katie's body. Katie then comes to bite Mika but instead goes for the camera. The ending says something about Mika being pronounced dead and police never finding Katie.

This was an excellent movie. From the beginning, viewers may think it is real because a caption thanks the families of the the victims. Very creative and well produced. Though I would have rather watched it in the silence of my own home (the crowd ruins it a little), I still checked underneath by bed before I went to sleep.

Dirty dancing final Patrick Swayze

Patrick Swayze was smoother than butter baby. This guy did it all. Though his more recent works weren't as successful as his 80's- early 90's flicks, Swayze will be remembered forever for stealing the hearts of all our girlfriends. Swayze also stared in the blockbuster hits, Ghost, Point Break and Roadhouse. Here is probably his most memorable moment on the big screen in a scene from Dirt Dancing.

Knowing Spoiler

Warning all readers: This post is a spoiler to the movie Knowing. Do no read any further if you plan on seeing the film yourself.

So you want to know what happens in knowing huh? I went to see this movie with know prior knowledge of what it was about. All I saw was the trailer and I knew is was an apocalyptic thriller. About a third of the way through the movie, the events that Nicholas cage predicts will happen, come true. The scenes to each of these events are incredible. Great CGI and well orchestrated music to increase the intensity.

But then these alien-like people appear and try to take away his son. So now I am thinking, "What the hell is this movie about?" Turns out those aliens tried to warn us years ago about the events that were going to take everyone's lives on the planet. They were able to talk to the young girl who left the coded message in the time capsule and now they are able to talk to Calib (the son).

This movie kept me on the edge of my set the whole time. The more I thought about it, the more I wanted the characters to die because I couldn't find a justification for their survival. Up until a scene where "Independence day" meets "the day the earth stood still" I enjoyed this movie. The graphics of this spaceship were just too distorted.

The sun is going to let out a gaseous explosion that will charcoal the earths crust.
Nicholas Cage figures all of this out because he is a physicist of some sort at MIT.
The aliens come to the planet because they know this is going to happen and they want to take away some children and help them start over. The last scene is the earth being smoked out and several space ships lading on a distant planet delivering the earths children.

One thing I was happy to see was that none saved the world. Nicholas cage and everyone else on the planet died.

Terminator Salvation trailer is finally here

We have been waiting so long for this. The rumors are true. Christian Bale is John Conner. They needed a big name actor to replace Arnold. This trailer doesn't give any word as to whether or not Arnold makes an appearance but it does give a real good look as to how Bale handles the part.

CGI's look great and the plot looks like it continues after this chapter. I am sure this is one of many trailers that will becoming out in the next year. The movie is scheduled to release in 2009. My hunch is summer.

Warning: Spoiler of "The Day The Earth Stood Still"

For those of you who have done your homework on this movie, then you know that this movie is actually a remake of the 1951 film. But to those of you who haven't done your homework, such as myself, prior to seeing the movie, then you will be in for a bit of a surprise.

Warning do not continue reading if you wish to see the movie. Here is a short but detailed summary.

Much like the movie Cloverfield, an an Alien form lands New York City. A monstrous spear, several stories tall that resembles some sort of cosmic storm, heads straight towards Central Park. Upon arrival, the alien life form by the name of Klaatu (Keeanu Reeves) attempts to greet the humans, but one lousy sharpshooter hits his trigger and critically wounds. Then a massive Cyclopes exits the sphere and shuts down all of the US army's weaponry bringing them the a submissive and embarrassing halt.

In a very realistic scenario, Klaatu is then taken to a hospital and interrogated by a character that you will grow to hate. Klaatu's mission is so save earth. It is up to him to to decide the fate of the humans. The first person he speaks with is Regina Jackson, played by Katy Bates, and she represents the United States of America. She is determined to represent the US to the best of her ability by using force and military action all the way until the very end of the movie. So instead of "wow where are you from and what can we learn form you?" she takes the "you invaded our airspace and are subject to our punishment" approach.

As expected, if Klaatu can fly to earth from some far away Galaxy and transform life forms, he is probably not going to be affected by any of our simplistic interrogation techniques. So he escapes and Contacts Scientist Helen Benson (Jennifer Connelly). In the time that Klaatu spent with Benson and her stepson, he learns about human behaviour and interaction. He learns that Humans can change and like his race, it usually takes, a tipping point for that change to occur.

However, it is too late for the order to be stopped. Hundreds of other little spheres came to earth and collected all different types of species in order to save them from destruction of the human race. The concept is simple: keep the planet alive by destroying those who are killing it. Klaatu has to get to the sphere in order to change the orders. In the meantime, The US army captured the massive Cyclops and brought it to an underground chamber somewhere in Virginia. The whole time I was wondering if this thing was going to put its arms up and fly out with jet propulsion sneakers. But no. Instead it turned into these metal-eating termites destroying everything it encountered. That's the swarm of matter you see encompassing central park in the trailer.

Like expected, Klaatu makes it to the Sphere moments before the city is destroyed. The humans prevail and the movie ends. That's it! it just ends no closure no change of ways no scene 500 years form them showing us all working in harmony. So it is a great sci-fi thriller. It does keep you on your seat, but I have seen this plot a thousand times. Almost all the end of the world scenarios end the same. I would have preferred an alternate ending.

Barack Obama is not an Arab. Can we please educate ourselves?

Oh boy the political season has come so far. After nearly a year trash talk from the candidates and back and forth bickering of crap that a majority of the American public doesn't understand, we are now in the final weeks of the presidential election. This is when the candidates don't hold back and all is fair. In the past, we've seen the swift boat ads against Jon Kerry. Now we are looking at some commercials that link Barack Obama to a domestic terrorist years ago.

My question is: Why didn't these allegations come out months ago? Where do they get this stuff about the candidates at the last minute and why is it always the last minute? this is where the nitty-gritty, dirty facts and lies come out of the candidates and show their true colors.

What is scary is that some of the McCain supporters still don't even understand who is running for president. That's not to say that Obama supporters know everything, but a majority of American voters are completely oblivious to the facts.
Here is john McCain trying to put out the flames of rumors he early fanned. This woman claims she reads about Barack Obama and she can't trust him because he is an Arab. Does the American public refuse to educate themselves? Or have we just become so lazy that we believe everything we hear? Then McCain gets tries to soothe the crowd and set the record straight.

Mythbusters 1100-Barrell Paintball Gun

Adam and Jamie from the Mythbusters made science cool again. These two guys together could turn a bed sheet into a parachute. In fact, they make Macgyver look like a boyscout in this demonstration of what I like to call, a "paintball gun on steroids."

They created an 1100 barrel paintball gun that can paint the Mona Lisa in an instant. Like many of the myths they bust, this was an elaborate way to explain something simple. In this case they were comparing the difference between single and multicore processors. I bet Leonardo would have rather used this invention than spending all that time with those silly paint brushes. I wonder how many barrels it would take to paint my deck.

What is the Montauk Monster?

This video is spreading across the internet like a wildfire.

The Montauk Monster is the new boogieman. This creature washed ashore Montauk, NY beaches and many people are at a loss for words when they see it. The picture was taken by a Montauk patron and it started and internet frenzy. Everyone wants to know what the Montauk Monster actually is.
My guess is a prehistoric creature that holds a link to the evolution of water to land based species. Or maybe it's just a doberman.

Scientists and experts may find the decomposing body rather useful when they draw their conclusions. Hopefully it is in good enough condition to give us some answers.

Where the Hell is Matt?

So from what I've read on Matt's website, he is just your regular guy who wanted to do nothing and get paid for it. Matt loved to travel. He also loved to dance. Luckily for him, the only dance he knew how to do allowed him to travel the world. Stride Gum contacted Matt and told him they will take him from country to country to do his moronic dance (I find it to more closely resemble a drunken jig). Matt said yes and went in six months he went to 39 countries and all seven continents. Have a look at Matt's video and be sure to check out his website.

I am not sure why Stride contacted Matt other than to give him his own section on their website called Matts Place. Stride, if you are reading this I will be more than happy to travel the world and chew your gum in every country. I think this will be much more effective for your marketing campaign.

The year the internet ends? What could that possibly mean? This was a great title because it immediately caught my attention. They don't necessarily mean we will no longer have access to the internet, like the end of the world is coming or something. It means that corporate media and the internet tycoons will take complete control of it. This gives me, you, us, the users less control to participate in social media and spread our messages.

This group of net neutrality activists briefly sum it up for you in plain English. We have four years to try and prevent this or else.

Or else what?

Or else we become victims to the corporation's that will control our every move on the internet and limit our access to new, different and inspiring web sites and ideas. I am not sure what I can do other than post this on my blog and hope more people see it. It definitely is a concern of mine and if you found this blog it should be a concern of yours too.

So do you remember the videos that spread across the internet like wildfire about fu*king Matt Damon and fu*king Ben Affleck? Well some guys from hmatkin.blogspot.com put together this perverted montage of political speeches from Hilary Clinton, John Edwards and Barack Obama. The Chorus: "I am Fucking Obama."

The one minute twenty seven second film makes a mockery of the political debates and they orchestrate the song and mouth movement pretty well. I think we can all agree that the news media portrays all the lame information that a majority of the public doesn't care about until the final chapter of the election process. These kind of parodies ease our tensions with the political system and help us get through the endless hours of political discussions on cnn and fox news. Pundits, polls,caucuses, straw polls who cares this video is hilarious.

The Secret to Stonehenge Revealed

This Michigan man claims to have discovered the method to the construction of Stonehenge. This video clip is a little long, but it is well worth your 6 minutes. Watch as this man lifts stone that weigh up 25 tons lbs and stand them perfectly straight. He uses simple tools like rocks, wood, gravity and water to perform these maneuvers.

The Lufthansa Airbus 320 nearly crashes

The Lufthansa Airbus 320 nearly crashes on a run way because of a strong cross wind pattern. This video is shockingly scary. The plane did have people on it but no injuries were reported. Take a look at how skilled this pilot is to avert a near disaster at such close measures in the nasty weather of Hamburg-International airport in Germany. This web video is red hot and you can find it on youtube or any other major viral video site, but why not comment on the video in a more limited network.

These pilots were praised for their excellent ability to raise the plane and maneuver it out of disaster. They probably saved hundreds of lives.

Garey Busey

Gary Busey is one of my all time favorite actors. I have to say he is the craziest maniac I have ever seen or read about. He once sniffed an ounce of drugs off his dog when they accidentally fell on top of it. I believe he is now drug free (go gary). However that doesn't stop him from being the nut job that we've grown to love.

He is spiritually inclined and well disciplined. I don't know when this transition took place, but I assume it occurred, some where between Point Break and when he realized he was doing movies titled The Hand Job.

Have a good laugh at how Gary handles this interview with this poor girl who might have just developed a speech impediment because of him.

Im Fu**king Ben Affleck

You may have seen a web video last week released by actress Sarah Silverman singing about how she is "Fu*cking Matt Damon." She did this as a joke addressed to her boyfriend Jimmy Kimmel. It was an internet hit and I am furious that I did not include it into my gallery.
Luckily for me Kimmel capitalized on his rebuttal. Kimmel went all out. He contacted anyone and everyone who was willing to participate. This video includes: Harrison Ford, Don Cheadle, Cameron Diaz, Robin Williams and many other celebrities and artisits both old and new to get back at Sarah. Kimmel really dug deep for this one. I hope this battle continues.

Star Trek is back

Star Trek is back! I don't know about most of you but I missed the Star Trek generation by about 20 or 30 years. I just know it was a show that started in the 60's and ran untill 2001 but the characters never aged. Maybe cause they were in space.
In retrospect I can see how this show was so important to the television industry and the people who watched it. Star Trek had an enormous grassroots following. In todays world, the advancments in computer generated images are astronomical. I can only hope that Star Trek can be re-made on the big screen like many other television predecessors. From the looks of it, they made it happen. Is the start of a whole new generation of star treks?

Now I have a preview for you. Mogarn Spurlock, the guy who brough you "Supersize Me" is back at it again. This time he is traveling into a world where they may have never even seen a Big Mac. Morgan is hunting for Osama Bin Laden.

Morgan brings us along for a journey tackeling a whole different type of enemy.This movie looks both comical and informational. I think we can all conclude that he doesn't actually find Osama because the film is done and we haven't heard anything. But maybe he can give us a little insight into why in the world we even thought we could find him. Check out the tralier of Morgans new documentary "Where in the World is Osama Bin Laden?"

DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU INTEND ON SEEING THE MOVIE CLOVERFIELD.
Well, after weeks of anticipation for the movie debut, we finally get to find out what Cloverfield is about. With all the references to Japan throughout the movie and the trailer I assumed it was Godzilla. What else would it be that attacks New York City and knocks down buildings?

Well the "thing" that attacks the city is an alien. It takes a lot to put a new monster on the big screen but I think Cloverfield did a great job. The reason I say it is an alien is because at the very last scene of movie you see a black object fly from the sky into the water. Not many people picked up on this in the movie. My friends and I were the only ones who noticed it and people thought we were hallucinating. The alien also has little offspring like assistants that chase people down the streets

Cloverfield is a unique and original movie. Though a majority of the movie the main character is moving toward the monster when he should be getting off the island, the story went well. You may find yourself on the edge of your seat yelling "get the hell out of there." And yes the entire movie is filmed with the shakiness of a hand held camera, but you get used to it.

If you still plan on seeing Cloverifeld don't expect any closure at the end. It ends abruptly and leaves you asking for more. A great movie in my opinion.

However I have not yet figured out the symbolism or the origin of the title cloverfield.

Recently I learned that Fox news eliminated presidential Candidate Ron Paul from the New Hampshire forum coming up this week. He was not invited to the Fox sponsored event debate and Fox has not justified their reasoning. In light of these occurrences, I felt it was an appropriate time to post another inspiring video I discovered online of Ron Paul.

Is one year enough time to speared the beliefs of Ron Paul to our friends, family and neighbors? You bet it is. Ron Paul is and inspirational leader, speaker, thinker and believer that our country needs in this time of transition. Vote Ron Paul!

Since a few months back, I have been following Ron Paul more and more. I believe he speaks the truth and he is actually the only candidate out there that knows what is best for the country, let alone what they are talking about.

This underdog candidate just put himself on the map. Well he didn't... his supporters did. They raised him nearly 5 million dollars in one single day. The most raised by online donations in a single day in U.S. history. This just goes to show that the polls you hear about there on all the news channels are not that accurate.
I think this is the platform he needed to really jump start his candidacy. Now his supporters are at it again trying to out do themselves and raise more money on the anniversary of the Boston Tea Party

Oakley sunglasses

They are called the Oakley Split Thump sunglasses. Mixed reviews on this one. Oakley has been trying to do this for a while but these glasses actually look cool. They hold 512 MB for your music.
I don't think it will be far from now that we see them being made with multiple GB's to hold all of our ipod's songs. If I had the money I would buy a pair just cause they look cool. The mp3 player is a plus. If these were black they would be the first step to replicated the terminators glasses. But for now, well stick with Dog the Bounty Hunter

Seinfeld Canceled!?!?!?!

As a dedicated Seinfeld fan and avid viewer of the reruns on TBS, I felt insulted for Jerry. Larry King is old and needs to be taken off the air. He messed up on a live broadcast and didn't have the courage to admit it. You can tell Jerry was pissed off. watch for yourselves its hilarious. I guess this is why Larry is still on television. CNN cant read ratings correctly!

I personally think Ubuntu is much cooler. This video shows all the applications (well most of them) and features that each software has. Though I have never had any hands on experience, It looks really awesome. The Ubuntu is an open source modification of Linux. The Aero program is an acronym for Authentic, Energetic, Reflective and Open. It is also very user friendly. Check it out plus this song is old school and brings back memories.

Globalization is changing our lives as we speak. America is going to fall far behind other countries due to the educational opportunities that are available to people of other nations. The world is flat and it is only becoming easier to communicate and interact with others. Americans careers are at stake and we don't even know what our career will consist of just a few years from now.

More television networks are focusing on the internet than ever before. If they aren't already then they will fall far behind the others. For once the people are deciding what stays and what goes. And if we want something we will get it. For example, online Television is growing at a rapid rate. There is no longer a need for Tivo or DVR. I can access many shows online at a networks web site. Or sites like Truveo.com compile networks for me such as NBC, ABC and Fox and list their shows that are available for viewing. Assuming you can bear a 5-25 second advertisement between segments, you can watch your shows anytime anywhere.

Websites like this also provide sports highlights, breaking news and movies all for free online. I don't need to pay for a box or a monthly fee. I believe in a few years from now all the networks will be doing this.

As described in this video, the radio will be available over the internet and it already is. I think the plastic paper idea for magazines is really close to development. People could order their favorite magazines online and only carry around one to read what ever they want.
